Connections & Fundamentals: The Real Value of Healthcare Operations
In healthcare, we often explore the problems: clinician burnout, employee retention, technology consolidation, disconnected systems, and now how to apply AI appropriately. In this session, we're going to explore the fundamentals that live at the intersection of all this. How do we improve collaboration and communication? How do we empower better connection among the humans that make healthcare happen? How do we make healthcare the industry of choice for generations of workers? symplr President Nicole Rogas will lead a panel of summit attendees with plenty of opportunity for audience interaction as we set the stage for our time together.

Change Management in Healthcare
Change is constant and isn’t going away! And US healthcare organizations are in a constant state of change – from M&A activity to continuous innovation to emerging health considerations in the communities they serve. Organizational culture, technology adoption, and day-to-day operational adjustments create an insurmountable task to effectively navigate and manage change, often leading to change saturation, fatigue, and inefficiencies. In this interactive session, our friends from Centric Consulting will share insights for developing a change mindset and embracing change based on their experiences with:

  • Continuous Governance
  • Post M&A stabilization and harmonization
  • Technology Implementation
  • On-Prem to Cloud Migration

Expect to leave this session with a few more tips in your toolkit!

Discussion Leaders from Centric: Hilary Lee (Partner and Director, National People and Change Lead), Greg Foster (US Healthcare and National Human Capital Management and Workforce Management Lead), Jessica Hand (Client Advisory Capability Lead)

11:15 a.m. The So-What for “Caregivers”

Everyone that works in healthcare is a “caregiver” because the purpose of the  business is always aimed at patient care. In this breakout, we will debate the “so what” of everything we have discussed in the context of three key industry initiatives that impact all of us and could drive legislation:
1. Technology & Data Interoperability: What should be the top priority for innovators and data scientists that will make the biggest difference and expand access to care? What does this mean for healthcare operations?
2. Healthcare for the Population: How does the debate about value-based care and fee-for-service shape the future of caring for our communities? What does this mean for healthcare operations?
3. Patient Experience: What needs to happen to empower patients, improve the experience, and optimize care? What does this mean for healthcare operations?
